DARPAN-The Hindi word “DARPAN” (दर्पण) means “mirror” or “reflection,” signifying insight and clarity. It can also be used to refer to the NGO Darpan portal, a government website that allows Indian non-profits to register, communicate with government agencies, and apply for grants.
NITI AAYOG-NITI Aayog, or the National Institution for Transforming India, is the apex public policy think tank and nodal agency for the Government of India, established on January 1, 2015, to replace the Planning Commission. It provides strategic policy advice to the Central and State governments, focusing on fostering inclusive and sustainable development through cooperative federalism, a bottom-up approach, and long-term policy frameworks with the involvement of states. Led by the Prime Minister, NITI Aayog also functions as a platform for resolving inter-sectoral issues and promoting innovation and a shared vision of national development priorities.
